i am really proud of him too! his crew came together when it really mattered getting the car the good after that wreck just shows that he has a really good crew and made the right calls like when they pitted early so they wouldn't have to later!!! that was a really good call!!!!

Kasey and his crew came together made repairs and got their game on.
Kasey is on the way to getting his season together. This was a very good step in the right direction.Hopefully the start of his turnaround.

Unfortunetly, probably not. It was a plate race, not a intermediate track where Kasey has struggled at this year (and did very well at last year). BUT if he follows this finish up with a good run at Chicagoland Speedway (next week), things might be looking up. Nevertheless, though, even a quick turnaround probably would not have him in the Chase.

2007 for Evernham has been ugly, so 9th place in ANY race is damn near a win at this point
that said they better give up on doing anything the rest of this year turn it into one big test session and try to improve the company and get that 10 car locked back into the top 35
and should he land Kyle Busch he better have that ship going the right way else its going to be a bad 2008 for them

Amazing. My wife and I were glad to see him back up in the top ten. He's a great driver, but something went suddenly wrong. And, of course, run-ins with Stremme and Green don't really help things much do they?
Hopefully, he'll started running better this year. Maybe he'll even pull of a miracle and get himself back up into the top 12, right? If my calculations are correct, it's possible. But highly unlikely.
Even if he doesn't get up there this year, there's always next year.

Maybe this top 10 finish is all he needs to turn things around...really positive attitudes make a big difference, and now his confidence got a big boost! Here's hoping that's what his team needed.
Go Kasey!

Ummm ... we'll see, the jury is still out on that one. Didn't he end up at the front because he didn't pit at the end? They did an awesome job getting back up there after getting caught up in an early wreck.

Could be. All that talent that won him 6 races last year couldn't suddenly disappear overnight. His car has really given him trouble this year, and oddly htere's been other races where he qualified well, but ran poorly in the race. truly a mystery.
He's one of the good guys- so I wish him well.
