I think the Welsh coalminers ate these most every day. I've had them and think there are good. They are ver similar to what other European countries have made but just go by a different name. I have had the same type thing made by a Ukrainian woman but I cannot recall what she called it.
It was a handy all around meal in one and fit in the miners lunch boxes easily. Very popular yet in far northern Wisc, Mich, and Minnesota.
