Bring close that will mix and match. Also don't bring too much as some things such as sweaters and jeans you can wear more than once. Laundromats are few and far between. An umbrella is a must as it rains quite a bit there in winter.Bring at least 1-2 dressy outfits that you can accessorize as the Europeans tend to dress when going out. A phrase book will help but most everywhere someone speaks English. Free toilets are almost non existant,so keep some coins and tissue handy. Never be late for the bus or everyone will hate you.

Bring instant noodles. The type that you just pour hot water to and it would be ready to eat.

This not only saves you money and time. You are assured of a hot meal when you want it. Otherwise, you have to content yourself with panini and all those stuff.

While really touristy, do not miss the tours of the castles. The hotel concierge can book you on these tours. And wonder how some castles were built for years and years, only to be slept in by the king for a night.

The tomb of Vincent Van Gogh is a must, if you are a fan of this greta painter. And maybe sing "Starry, starry night ..." near his grave?

Some good walking shoes because you're going to walk a lot! Maybe a little book to learn some conversational language or the do's and don'ts in other parts of the world that you can read while on the plane... It's fun to learn and speak another language, and I'm sure it can be helpful. I wish I was going on vacation! Have fun.
