Yes, and I've almost had to quit watching the evening news because of the animal abuse they report. It just makes me so sick. I lay awake thinking about the poor animals.
Also, I hate when I drive past a house that has a dog chained to a tree in the front yard. That has actually become against the law in my city. I'm so glad.

Although you don't specify which animals you are concerned about, there are definately a lot of animals being tortured, and *any* torture is too much.
Animals raised for food suffer from the time they are born to the moment of slaughter. Lab animals suffer horribly & the results of animal testing don't really help us-- if you watch the news you've probably noticed how often a medicine is animal-tested & declared "safe" but after it's on the market it has to be recalled. Not to mention the atrocities that are committed on dogs, cats & other companion animals by deliberate acts of cruelty.

Most definatly! By factory farms, roads, hunters, pet abusers, fur farms, and so many others. the abuse needs to stop.
