i have every thing *cd wise* with my pc i got about 5 years ago
i have the 2002 version of microsoft office xp i deleted every thing mircosoft from my pc about a year ago and now i'm trying to reinstall it so i can use excel, but i keep getting some retarded message about " the expected version of this product was not found on your PC" ....well duh i deleted it..now i want it baaack!...omg HELP i REALLY need excel

You may contact Microsoft if you registered it an if you had taken any of their updates. Good luck.

The primary answer to this question is whether or not you actually deleted or uninstalled the application. If you simply deleted it, it will be a long road. If you uninstalled it, then it should re-install just fine. If you deleted it, you may have damaged the registry (which is actually a database). It is not easy or quick to fix this kind of event.

Forget the "retarded" ancient version of Microsoft Office and upgrade to Open Office.

OpenOffice.org has a free office suite. http://www.openoffice.org/ Has an Excel-like program called Calc.
