For acne, red spots, black heads, etc.

Not to hard, but I'm willing to do anything for better skin.
(P.S. I have already been to a derm. and I do have a product -Differin- but I would like to use something before of after using different.)

Acne is caused by your hormone levels. Talk to your doctor if its really bad and he can do a blood test to check if there is an imbalance which can be corrected.

I have stopped using make-up unless its a special event. It blocks the pores and I have found less makeup equals less acne.

Don't use other acne treatments while you are using Differin. They may interact w/ it & lead to irritation or negate the benefits of using Differin.

I've used Differin & it works over the course of a few weeks. Consistency is the key. Give it a chance to work.

In the meantime, use a mild face wash. I have sensitive, combination skin & really like Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Face Pads. They cleaned my skin w/o leaving it feeling tight & the textured side was perfect for helping slough off dead skin cells.

Wear sunscreen every day since your skin is more prone to sunburn.

You also may want to give yourself a facial to pamper your skin & help detoxify your pores. Here's how: http://www.ehow.com/how_2564_give-yourself-facial.html

Beauty w/o Cruelty clay mask & Origins charcoal clay mask are great to use for a facial.

Or you can use this homemade mask:

1/3 cup plain whole milk yogurt, 1tbsp. honey & a bit of ground oatmeal. Apply a layer & leave it on for 10 mins. Rinse off w/ tepid water.

Yogurt - loosens dead skin cells
Honey - humectant w/ anti-bacterial properties
Oatmeal - optional; soothes & helps remove dry skin
