Depends on how many calories you burn with exercising. if you are 13, you don't want to starve yourself cause you are still growing, that could be unhealthy. The best way is to increase your calorie output with some increased aerobic exercise.

1lb of fat has roughly 3500 calories. You need a net deficit of ~52,500 calories to lose 15 lbs of fat. There is no point in losing even 1lb of water weight b/c you will still be 15 lbs of fat overweight. There is no real way to lose 15 lbs in a month and even losing it in two months would not be healthy. At ~ 60 days to lose 15 lbs you will need a daily deficit of 875 calories, that is a lot of exercise and not a lot of eating. The good news is that if you start exercising now, then you will start looking and feeling better long before you get all the way down to 125.

Assuming you are able to use a restroom whenever you want (you are probably not in school till fall), drink lots of water and eat small meals consisting of dairy products, vegetables, and fruits throughout the day. Make sure to get protein from eggs, peanut butter, fish, cottage cheese, and limit your red meat intake to two servings per week. Cut back on anything with high fat grams in it. Exercise and again, keep drinking water. I set myself up to try to drink 1 cup every hour and keep busy to use it up with the only drawback being having to go to the bathroom more often but it works for me. I lose weight and feel more energetic in the long run and it is healthy for the hair and skin. I was in your position when I was younger. Once you are back in school, of course, you won't be able to use the restroom as much so work as much weight off as you can over the summer and by fall, your metabolism will work better for you to keep up the great work.
Good luck!

Just watch what you eat ....
Do it in moderation.
For Example: I LOVE EATING!!!! pretty much everything
But...I tell myself and try and go by :
1.NOT eating ANY fried foods during the week.
(By the time the weekend comes i barely crave it)
2.NOT eating late (though if i get relaly hungry I have a small
snack)
3. STAYING AWAY from lots-a-sweets
(Candy Bars / Cookies ect...)
4.I tell myself i can eat WHATEVER i want on the weekends.
(And for the most part i do...but my body gets use to the
moderation and the not so unhealthy stuff i kinda still eat
good)
5.Ride Bike 3-4times a week for about 15-30min. & or I put on MTV and i dance to every song i can. (LOL thats fun)

Each pound is equal to 3500 calories. If you cut back just 500 calories a day, you should loose 1 pound a week. At least in theory.

i wouldn't eat as much sweet and trust me it'll be hard i have a sweet tooth. Maybe replace the sweets with some fruit, sandwiches with salads, and make sure you don't skip any meals because that will slow the process of loosing weight. Try to eat about 1000 calories daily.
i wish you the best with loosing your weight.
sincerely,
Hannah

Being that age I'd have to say eat 2000-2500 calories a day, but definitely make sure they are clean. Meaning no sugars, only complex carbs, plenty of fiber, lots of protein, no saturated fats. Most likely you are eating all the wrong things which is causing you to gain weight.
