Your eyes don't realize how much the colors you see are altered by the blueness of the sky or the redness of someone's outfit or the color of a purple wall in a room. However the camera does and causes these off-tone tints. You can correct them for digital cameras with photo processing programs.

In order to get fast response you need an SLR camera. The point and shoot ones are too slow to respond well. Canon and Nikon have great ones that start between $500 and $1000.

Well I love mine. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2. 6 megapixels, 12X optical zoom. Excellent 8X10s, acceptable 11X14 prints. 1 second delay between shots, very good on AA rechargeable batteries, has image stabilizer and comes with battery charger.
If you like a lot of zoom, also check out the Canon PowerShot S2 IS and the Fujifilm FinePix S5200 on Website dpreview.com
