It's because white Americans are dumber than sheep. They'll buy into anything that's told to them. That's why they reelected that baboon into office. If they had half a brain, they would see that this war is going to get us in the end.....

You're right ! Most people don't care and think that the greedy *** corporations, & politicians have total control. And they will, until we all wake up to the real reality show going on all around us. That show will be our demise, if we don't all get out and vote. Voting is a right & privlage, but it should be a requirement if you want to remain an American citizen. Pretty sad when more people vote for talent show TV BS, then for the person who's suppose to be running the country. Look what happened !!! We have an idiot leading sheep to slaughter, because we've been misinformed, and so easily side tracked on less important problems at election time. But all the voters can't be blamed. The non-voters have the wake up call, let's see if they wake up, or continue zoning on utube & video games, before we're all in the toilet.

We're fighting equally against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as we are about the immigration problem. Finally, people are not letting the government distract us from the real causes.
Everyone needs to keep writing, e-mailing, faxing and calling their representatives about every issue. Do not let up.
Unfortunately, CT, where I am embarrassed to say I live, is pro-Bush. I will not give up though. I keep up the correspondence every day. Some day they'll listen.

Immigration has been a real problem for some time.
Issues like abortion, gay marriage, school prayer, and flag-burning are better examples of the kind of hot-button distractions used by politicians to avoid more pressing (and difficult) issues.

And here you are trying to down play the problems with illegal immigration, using the Iraq war as the bait.
Yeah we're not happy about the war, but you know what, illegals are a problem too, so is the cost of healthcare and higher education. We discuss all of them, search YA you'll find them in their proper sections, this one is IMMIGRATION... so we discuss that.

You are doing exactly what you are complaining about....trying to "distract attention" from one of the single biggest issues facing America today...
A country as big as the U.S. has to be able to "multitask"...we cannot bury our heads in the sand and ignore illegal immigration merely because we have lots of issues to deal with.
BTW, if you want to talk about those issues, there are forums or "Answers" sites for that...this is an IMMIGRATION forum.
