How do I find capoeira classes in my area? I know I can use the phone book before you smart mouths say it! But other than that and searching on yahoo(didnt find anything on yahoo) what are some good sources? And how do I know that I found a good school?

That site is pretty good. You should try out classes and find out for yourself. Capoeira isn't immune to McDojoism, but it is a rarity: Especially since the high ranking titles are Martial, as well as political.

There are plenty of sites online that have listings. Google "capoeira" and your state and you'll find something. Many academies actually don't advertise in the phone book.

If you're really having a hard time, go to some of the many capoeira message boards and ask around. Once you've found a school, this is a good place to get info on it as well.
