For a serious answer....

If you take US 1 between the two cities - there are no tolls in either direction. The road is an even split between 2 lane and 4 lane highway.

You can take US 40 going south - no toll but you pay the same $5 toll as on I-95 for going north. Since you asked for no toll - only US 1 is your viable option going north.

PA/MD 273 connects US 1 to I-95 and US 40 - if you're heading south.

Finally, if you really want to go out of your way - US 30 to I-83 has no tolls in both directions.

{EDIT} The Exit 109 suggestion works SB but the asker will still pay a $5 toll going NB even though he can avoid the $3 DE toll going NB.

You can avoid the Delaware tolls on I-95 by getting off southbound at Exit 1B (towards Univ. of Del.); making a left onto Del. 4; making a left on Del. 2; and getting back on I-95 at Exit 109 in Maryland. Do the same in reverse going northbound. Takes maybe 10 minutes (which depending on the time of day could be even longer at the tolls even with EZPass).
