Range is anywhere from $8.00 an hour to $25+ an hour depending on where you live and the type of dentist you work for.
I am an orthodontic assistant so i am at the high end of the pay scale. Specialty practices often pay more.

I would say it varies greatly on location, and experience and the individual dentist.
Personal expierence I have worked for some really tight dentist, and i have worked for incredibly generous dentist.
average is 12-14 hr... above average is 16-20...

An assistant makes about $10-25 hour depending on experience, where you are in the country (cost of living, etc), as well as if you are certified or not. Try checking out www.danb.org, they sometimes have stats on these things.

Hey, go to this website it's amazing. It has all kinds of occupations, what are expected of them, how to get the education, working conditions, and pay! www.bls.gov. I would guess about 40-50K a year. Plus, most of them get bonuses and vacations.
