Materialism is not a measure of God's blessing.
Many times people with the most worldly goods are the most devoid of God's blessing.

To be affluent is not a measure of God's blessing. In fact affluence can often blind us to Him and the many blessings He has to give. Jesus said that heaven was made for such as these when talking about the little children. To them God showed His mercy by taking them to a place where they will never know pain or hunger or fear again. Often third world people will have faith in God that few of us are ever privileged to experience and although poor in our eyes will be so rich in Spirit. Sometimes it is in our weaknesses that God shows His strength and many of these people are blessed in the true sense because having lost everything else, all they have left is faith and they will be with Him in Glory. That is God's blessing!

God's blessings rain on the just and unjust (Matt 5:45 NIV). I am so grateful that God chose to bless me with the necessities to survive and live in a country where we have freedoms to worship God. I am thankful that I was led to Christ so that I may praise Him for all the blessings He provided to me when I know I did not deserve them. For it was revealed to me that it is not material wealth that leads us to heaven.
One thing that I noticed, going into the barrios of third world countries like the country of my birthplace, is that their hunger for God is so much more pure, intense, and fervent than in my adopted homeland. Why is that? What is it about their attitude that makes them more spiritually wealthy than I, in many many ways? Well, there you have it.

I am blessed to have wisdom.
Proverbs 3: 13-14
Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding. For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver and gold.
In other words to know God and understand his word is like the biggest blessing a person can have. Better than anything that a person get have on earth.

Yes, I am blessed, not because of anything that I have done,
but more, because,of what Jesus has done for me.
I'm certainly not rich or anything like that, Jesus is all the
riches I need. Thank You, and I pray God's blessings on
you, also.
Jesus Is Lord.

I'm very much blessed & so thankful for everything he has bestowed on me...& I"m not speaking from a material perspective. I'm thankful for the little things and I'm thankful for life, my family, my friends, simple things that people take for granted,- to be able to walk, to see, to hear etc etc..

It isn't so much a question as to why god chose to bless me and my family as it is why do those of us that are blessed sit idly by and do nothing?
