I've heard that drinking a warm cup of water with fresh lemon squeezed in it, first thing in the mornng when you wake up is very good for you. Apparently starting your digestive system working or something? helping in 'weight loss'??? Can some help by explaining if it is good for you... if its worth doing.. and why?

Water is good for you, but whether it's warm or cold makes no difference. Lemon can give you a small amount of vitamin C but is mainly only used for flavor and does nothing for your digestion.

I used to work for an indian woman who would drink just plain hot water in the morning before doing anything else. So i have also been doing this for years and i can say ive lost weight i feel better and i drink hot water throughout the day. Its easier for your body to absorb the warm water-it shouldnt be too hot of course-than cold water. cold water can irritate your stomach especially when you first wake up.I think the warmth gets things moving and helps break down any leftover junk in your intestines from the previous day.the lemon will definitely add flavor and antioxidants,but is far too acidic for my tummy in the am.

All I know is a lot of people I know do this and think it makes them feel better inside.
