It depends on how you are artificially inseminated. If it's done vaginally, then the chances are you are inseminating only one egg at a time. If it's a test tube insemination, chances are that the doctors will try to inseminate many eggs for a better chance that your body will accept the newly produced baby.

The cost of artificial insemination depends on whose sperm you will use (if you know the donor....if you know the donor all you would need to technically pay for is the extraction and the planting or if you have to pay for donated sperm...that cost is normally based on the "type" of donator ie, doctor, has his Phd that sorta thing.). The range can be from about $900 (for the sperm, insemination, to keeping the extra sperm alive) to about $1500. Good luck.

It depends on how many fertilized eggs they implant and how many "make it." Sometimes doctors will implant like 5 thinking that maybe only 2 will "make it" and the woman ends up having 5 children high risk pregnancy.

I hear ALOT more people are going overseas to do artificial insemenation in high quality facilities in other countries b/c the cost of the trip, hotel/room, AND insemenation is a fraction of the cost of getting it done in america. The high price in america is due to insurance and cost of staff.

Its something you might want to look into its very common in fact many companies offer "vacation" packages where you can go get your treatment and it includes everything.

Yes. Because when you do IVF - artificial insemination, you are placing fertilized eggs about 10 days old, directly into the womb. Most of the time, to make sure one takes a doctor will put 2-3 eggs in. So, you have a pretty good chance of concieving multiples. Or if you are like me, you get lucky and only have one!
Oh and it costs anywhere from $17,000-25,000

IVF, yes

IUI (clinical term for insemination) no. Unless you ovulate two eggs or the embryo splits. Chances of multiples with IUI are the same a any pregnancy.

The cost of IUI will vary, I know people who had full insurance coverage and other who paid a few 1000 dollars. Are you purchasing donor sperm or using a parner's sperm? that will effect cost as well

whilst you're unmarried, are you employing a donor? i'm undecided how lots donor sperm costs. yet whilst its in simple terms AI (or IUI), reckoning on the medicine you need to stimulate egg production, the value could be as low as $500 to as much as $3000 per cycle. In some states, in addition they require exams for specific ailments which incorporate HIV and Hepatitis. This costs us approximately $900 each. It took us 8 cycles of IUI to get pregnant, and we had to apply the dearer drugs (FSH injections), because of the fact besides the undeniable fact that i'm healthy and in my early 30s we've been unsuccessful on the greater value-effective drugs (clomid). We have been approximately to start IVF as quickly as we've been given pregnant by way of IUI or AI. IVF costs approximately $10,000 to $12,000 back reckoning on the quantity of drugs you want. this would not incorporate the value for donor sperm. those expenses are the going value in California. looking on the place you're, it may greater or low-value.
