every time I try I get the "not a valid win32 application" error message. I also get the unknown publisher pop-up. Choosing the right version for windows, using a dial-up connection.

iTunes is a massive application. On dial up, it may take a few hours to download.

If you're getting "not a valid application" errors, it looks like your connection or ISP is giving up before the download is complete, or is corrupting the file. If you have unlimited dial-up that cuts out automatically every two hours (like here in the UK), that is likely to be the culprit. You won't be able to download iTunes in that time on dial-up. If I recall correctly, bundled with QuickTime it is close to 40MB.

if on internet type in to the browser www.itunes.co.uk and then choose the download button ok and then select save and save it to your desktop ok click ok and it will then download to the desktop once downloaded to desktop go to desktop and double click to start the instalation ok
