we are able to discover the version via tasting regardless of if it truly is nice then it truly is a woman cockteil. and if it tastes stable then it truly is a male cockateil anoter element//////////// the colour........ if the colour isgirlish this is purple, purple or any stunning colour so it truly is a woman cockateil and regardless of if it truly is blakish or brownish so it truly is a male cockateil those are the transformations between a male cokateil and a woman cocateil because it aiso is predicated upon the form of the glass regardless of if it truly is slender so it truly is a woman cockataeil and if the glass is thick so it truly is a male cockateil

A female has duller coloring than a male-both have orange on their cheeks but the male will have bright yellows and white on his head where as the female will have mostly grey. This is a general guideline and there are exceptions, the only way to be 100% positive is to take the bird to a vet or bird expert who can use a probe to tell for sure.

The orange spots on the Male Cockateil are much darker and brighter than those on the females!
_______________
I also have 2 different friends, who both owned pets stores, raised & hand fed cockateils. Breed standard IS that the males have darker orange cheek spots. In fact I have never seen a male with a light cheek spot nor a female with brighter one than the males!

It is very difficult to tell. you need to wait till it is about 6 months old. there are different ways. females have larger gaps in the bone for eggs to pass through at the base of their torso. Males are more vocal as a rule but females have been known to be far better whistlers. With the mutations these days colour is not considered accurate for sexing. Females are supposed to have speckled wings under their wings... Lots of different myths. The only way I am ever sure is when a female lays an egg. I am only and amateur though.. lol..t

You can tell on birds over 6 months old after they have molted. The females will have stripes under their tail feathers, while the males will be solid. The females will have bars, which sometimes look like spots, under the wings, while males will be solid color. Male do tend to have brighter faces. Pearls are always female, as the male will lose the pearls at first molt. Pieds can be a little trickier.

It depends on the mutation of your tiel.
Only a few mutations these days can be visually sexed.
Orange cheek patches vary in the indevidual bird, not the sex. You can get some females out their with mighty bright cheeks.
Your cockatiels sex can't be deturmined until we're able to either see a picture of it or get a good description of it's colours & markings.

usually the males are more vocal.
BUT unless you are breeding them, what differennce does it make? Both sexes make great pets. Choose a unisex name.
