I can't seem to have a good reason. But he'd smoke the reef everyday of the week if he could. He's already done it 3 days a week. He's been smoking a long time. and his last girlfriend dumped him all the time cause of it. and he's known as a stoner in my school. i just think its a wrong way to spend your time. he's even cried cause he couldn't smoke. he refuses to stop and says no one can stop him.
HELP.

dump him before he sucks you into his addiction -- don't waste your time with a practicing addict be it drinking, drugs, or gambling

One thing you will learn over time is too pick friends and significant others that share your values. Quite simply he does not.

I am sure you care about him, but the unvarnished truth...he does not care about you. All he cares about is getting high.

Weed smokers love to say that marijuana is not addictive and it doesnt affect a person the way other drugs do. If so, I say why does he need it?

If he was smoking before you met him I can assure you that you dont even really know who he is. He is often in an altered state and would like to be all the time. If that is his goal, I can assure you he will achieve it. You cant make him stop and its not your job.

Its time to move on. Drop the drug addict and move on. When you do, take some time to concentrate on you. Get involved in your life. Do things that you like, work towards your goals. Spend time figuring out why you were willing to settle for so little.

I dont know you but based on what you wrote you are loving caring person. What you need to do is to require that the people you choose to be in your life show you the same love and care they show you.

Think about it and good luck.

Time to get a new boyfriend, now! If he refuses to admit he has a problem, neither you or anybody can help him; he is a lost cause! It is hard enough to deal with the problems of a relationship without your boyfriend being messed up on weed all the time. If he won't lay off the weed, his brain will be so messed up he will lose all ambition to do anything (other than get stoned); it might already be too late for him! He will never make a good husband/father, and will never be able to hold a job. Move on!

Coming from the other side (not with reefer but with beer), i don't think that he will change because of you unless he really cares/loves you. If he doesn't know how you feel about him smoking you should confront him about it and let him know. If he refuses then its simple, he's not the one for you. There is another option that can be tried though, let him know that you don't want him smoking when you are hanging out or when you are going to hang out and try to take things from there. There is a chance that you can function as a couple without him quitting smoking all together.

Emma,
Hi.
Umm...did he smoke it before you came into the picture?
It is wrong to want to change him because of what you think.
He is dumb for killing his brain cells & will only get dumber from here on out.
If he was doing it when you met him, then just give up & leave.
Don't get with a boy & try to change things about them.
Find one who will fit the bill & then start dating.

It's great that you're trying to help him, but I don't think there's much that you can do at this point. Sounds like he's very dependent on it if he's cried because he couldn't get it. You need to move on and let him know that you care, but you just can't waste your time on this situation any longer.

Sister, you can't stop your boyfriend from smoking. Only he can make that decision. Something catastrophic will have to happen in order for him to realize what a waste of time smoking dope is.

Dump him!

You have to know already that you can't change anyone. If you love the guy you will deal with it and try to be understanding. But if you can't deal with it then move on.
