Vets closed, pouring rain, hard lightning.

Thanks guys, he stopped after I picked him up and closed my hands on him (for warmth) he fell asleep in my hands like he usually does. Maybe it was just one bolt of lightning that crashed near our field that freaked him out. I put him in my laundry room where it is quiet.

He's probably just a bit freaked out by the storm! I wouldn't try to hold him he'd probably bite you. Or at least that's what mine used to do when I tried to calm them down...I'd just put a dark towel over his cage so the lightning isn't so harsh on his little eyes and make sure he has food and water (not that you don't feed him or anything haha, just to ensure he's comfortable!). If he's still acting like that when the vet opens and the storm is gone, then I would consider getting medical attention for your little guy. Hope he's ok!

put a blanket over the cage. if that does not work then wrap him in a towel and hold him for a little bit.

did you do anything to stress him out?
if not he may be having blood pressure problems
(if you feed him too much of something)
he may also have understimulation
does he have a wheel?
or he may be young and wanting to get out of the cage like mine
>_<
any of those your problem?
