I believe so. I don't have any proof, but it is an extremely logical hypothesis.

There is, however, no proof that prayer actually helps the healing process. There was a big study done on that awhile ago...

If it is ineffectual otherwise. But most people pray for a connection with God as well as an answer for his daily needs. Thanksgiving brings joy to the heart, which a placebo can't do.

Placebos are for a different purpose. They are only to see if the person can get well just as fast as the 'real' thing can. You have to have the real thing to compare it to;)

Your question smacks of a person that doesn't believe in the power of prayer. Read up on the latest research!
