I think pre-teens should be locked in large drums, fed through a tube and only released when they are old enough to get a job and move out.

I'm joking people!!!

LOL

Sometimes having a teenager is like living with the enemy... I have 3 kids ages 19(girl) ,17(boy) and 10(girl)...I have seen so many eyes rolls I could start a bakery.. If putting ones hands on ones hip and say "Oh Mother!" were an Olympic sport they would all medal..

It gets better my 19 yr old is slowly beginning to resemble a rational human being rather than an ill-tempered troll living in a cave..

Hang in there the hormones do level off and they do regain their sanity and thus you yours eventually..

LMAO...
I just answered a pro-choice question the other day with a similar response:

"Given the intellectual capacity of the current crop of teens and young adults, - I now support abortion up through the 99th trimester."

Listen.
Children build 95% of who they are and how they act from one parent whom they associate themselves most.
Usually of the same sex, but not always.
You absolutely have to be the best possible example you can be if you want your child to be sucessful in life.
You must focus that same 95% on your own life and your own problems and the other 5% is simply to encourage and be proud of your child for exactly who they are. NO MATTER WHAT.
There cannot be hope for change as you desire it if all he or she feels is disappointment or dissaproval. If they are already bad and wrong as they are (when all they ever did was learn from you?) then what hope is there for them? And of course they are going to be defiant and angry at the hypocracy. Respect has to be mutual, and it will take time for you to develop it. You are your child's servant because they are your future, just as you were your parents future.
Good luck.

That was funny. I rarely actually laugh when I read "funny" questions, but this one was good. It's never too late to consider adoption over abortion.

Probably not, but I have a few friends who would like to divorce their children. :0)

I remember my father saying to me "When you grow up and have kids you'll understand why I keep saying NOOOOO!!!!!"

I think kids now days get away with alot more than we did, and I think its harder for us as parents to keep them on the straight and narrow.

Dad was wrong...I was an angel. All I wanted was to stay up till 9pm watching TV
...today our kids want to go out and party till 3am.
