We should all take 'pride' in our homes and appearance. It's always nice to see a clean, well dressed person. And a nice clean home and garden is also something nice to look at. The problem comes in when we become preoccupied to the point of leaving God out of the equation. God should come first, and all else should come second. God bless.

delight is fatal in ANY faith. In Gnosticism, it truly is declared as ego. If actuality Carl Jung replaced into Gnostic and based lots of his writings approximately Psychology on those ideals. He replaced into additionally inspired by ability of Buddhism and Hinduism. The Buddha pronounced all the self is created by ability of the ego. that throughout truly the guy and the guy does not exist. i'm shocked that with the Church philosophy and the delight and ego of the pope and bishops that they even allowed that scripture to stay interior the Bible. huntjames32 and lasermouse are in blunders asserting that it's not interior the Bible. places are Proverbs 8:13says, God hates delight, James 4:6 tells us that God resists the proud. Proverbs sixteen:18, delight is going in the previous destruction. Prov. 6:sixteen-19 record the seven issues God hates. Thomas Aquinas and the Catholic Church took credit for for something sensible King Solomon wrote 3 thousand years in the past. of path, while has telling the reality ever mattered to them?

Jer 13:15 ¶ Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for Yahweh hath spoken.
Pro 16:19 Better [it is to be] of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
1Pe 5:5 ¶ Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for Yahweh resisteth the proud.
Mal 4:1 ¶ For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Yahweh of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
You bet it wrong to be proud. It's OK to be well pleased with you efforts

You forgot to read the part where it says in moderation's... It is ok to have pride in yourself or the way you keep your home... But Jesus stated that all things must be done in moderation's..As long as you remember that aspect of pride and not become over whelmed by it you are being obedient to the words of God... And no the bible is not out dated as a matter of fact it is one book that has kept up with the times....... So good luck and stay strong in the words of God and grow in wisdom and in love...................................................

There are many sins in the bible such as cutting hair, shaving, growing crops and eating it before five years. Just choose which ones are okay for you to break like all Christians do.

In this instance, pride is synonomous with vanity. Where you value something about yourself above all else. Being proud of how your home looks or how you look as long as it's not the the sole priority in your life is acceptable.

I think I know what you're saying. You're saying it's okay and preferable in God's eyes to have a clean and warm/friendly home you would not be ashamed to show others.
