I read online that cats are athiest. But I had one cat that sat on top of a Jehovah's Witnesses lap durring a Bible Study. And a friend whose cats would come to the living room for family scripture study every night and she was Mormon.

Humans were uniquely created in the "image" of God and Christ, so it seems that only humans are truly capable of actual worship.

Interestingly, however, the Scriptures teach that all of creation has a role in praising the Creator.

(Psalm 150:6) Every breathing thing—let it praise Jah.

(Revelation 5:13) And every creature that is in heaven and on earth and underneath the earth and on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying: “To the One sitting on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever.”

I'm not sure. Every cat I've ever owned only did what ever it wanted to do, despite the fact that god said he gave man dominion over all of the animals. My dogs have listened just fine, but those darn cats, they just wouldn't play along.

My cats come of hiding when I watch movies. Does this make them avid movie fans? Or could it possibly be the warm laps?

Yes, all animals are atheists because they don't understand our languages. If they understood our languages then we could indoctrinate them into believe in a god.

1. Cats are not thinking creatures with a sense of theology.

2. No one, and no thing, has been, is or will be "athiest," until there is an adjective "athy."

Silly, cats aren't atheists. They're gods. They're the rulers of the earth and expect all the silly laps (aka humans) to do their bidding.
