After the age of 20, your chances of conceiving decrease by 20%. It doesn't mean it's impossible, it's just less likely. There is still hope!

the only time you should stop thinking about having a baby is when you are premenopausal (usually after the age of 40, but some women approach menopause sooner). it is so expensive and time consuming to try to have a baby without donor egg that you may be too stressed to conceive.

We have patients up to the age of 52 who are still trying to conceive. Mind you, over 45 and you will most likely need donor egg, but it is still possible.

I wouldn't have a baby after 38-39. My mother had me in her late 30's and she couldn't ever lose the weight. It also made her retain fluids. She said if she could do it over she would've had me earlier. Its just whatever you want. If you have been trying, just keep trying until it happens!

You shouldn't give up. People have babies way into their 40s. It seems like you have been trying for a while, if you have been for over a year then see your OB-GYN and they will do the appropriate testing.

why worry? at 30 you have at least 10 yrs of good fertility left, and many women can have healthy babies well into their 40's.

40 maybe?

It's up to you. It depends on where you are in your life, (married, seeing someone, career choices, etc.)

If you feel like you can give a child love and a good life, and are ready, then adopt a child.

If when the kid is 15 people might start to ask, 'Is this your grandson' or if you question whether you will be alive to see this child graduate, then you shouldn't have any more kids.
