Hey, watch it! Not everybody's family tree in Alabama lacks branches!

(If you can't laugh at yourself, who else can you laugh at?--I'm an Alabama girl!)

Why would you be descended from your uncle? You are descended from your father and mother, your grandparents, your great-grandparents, et al. Unless you found out that your uncle is not really your uncle, but your father.

Otherwise, your uncle is your indirect ancestor. Your parents, grandparents, and so forth are your direct ancestors.

Evolution does not explain when people die. Evolution has to do with one species emerging from another, or with gradual changes within the same species over many generations.
