wow i have a pretty good answer for u actually..my answer is from a similar question that was proposed, so someo f it might not make sense:


OMG..don't you all see that having so many different versions of the Bible indicates a corrupt religion? Many authors, editors, revisors, etc. of the Bible only changed/deleted/added verses to appeal to Christians so they would remain faithful (in other words through lies) and to appeal to people who are interested in converting (the same way). Converting through lies and putting in what people WANT to hear is corrupt. For all we know, the all-loving peaceful Bible could have had some ugly verses that were deleted or replaced with more peaceful ones so that Christianity could not look like a culprit or evil religion in the future. CORRUPTION!

An imperfect, flawed religion indicates that it is disqualified as being the true religion.

Well, thats kind of like the Christians changing the Bible into what they want their religion to be like (aka allowing more freedoms, making bad deeds seem less impactful, etc.), not seeking the truth or caring about what is really meant for them.

The King James Version .King James had 80-90 educated scholars translate the bible from the Greek and Hebrew to English , they finished in 1611 .When the dead sea scrolls were found . The scoffers were ready to prove that the bible is not God's words . When they read it , it matched word for word with the King James . Many other versions take away or change words which change the meaning of the verse .

The mistranslation of a single word can create entire doctrine. For example, the Hebrew word Helel translated as a proper name, Lucifer, in the KJV Bible.

It is best to always refer to Interlinear Bibles and Bible dictionaries when confronted by ambiguous words or verses. The New Greek English Interlinear New Testament, based on the UBS 4th edition, Nestle-Aland 27th edition, by Robkert K. Brown and Philip W. Comfort and The Interlinear KJV Parallel New Testament In Greek And English by George Ricker Berry are both excellent study tools. Strong's lexicon is also an excellent tool, all though he can be a bit biased when it comes to translating a few words, so just be discrete in all your reading.

For casual reading, I use the KJV since I'm so use to the archaic language. But Rotherham's Emphasized Version is probably the best bet for the closest to perfect English translation, but I have never gotten around to buying it.

The Bible, the core of Christian doctrine, is often considered unquestionable. But, like you point out there are many versions and they are all EDITED. People claim the Bible was divinely inspired but the Bible we know has been edited and not by the hand of God. The Councils of Nicaea shaped the Bible as we know it. Men have edited the Bible and while I still reckon the Bible a good source for religious truth, I think one MUST question it to understand. Jesus did not write the Bible Himself and if he did i doubt everyone would have understood it. Any version of the Bible is fine by me- I question them all the same.

All modern English versions are misleading to some extent because they are translation of the original Greek (or translations of translations). One can still get the general meaning from the translation, but to completely trust any version as God's word is unfounded. After all, the original authors were translating their interpretation of God's word in the first place. This isn't to say there is no validity in the Bible, there is, but the more human involvement there is (i.e. translation), the less trustworthy it is.

all the versions of the bible can be trusted.they have been translated but have the same idea.sometimes one version has a diction that is easy to understand or has the modern vocabulary.when you open the bible with any version at all you will see that for instance John chapter three,the verse sixteen,which talks of the love of God for the world and therefore sending his only son to die so that whoever believes in the son will not be destroyed but have an everlasting life,is expressed the same way and has the same idea in all the versions but the vocabulary may just be different.

Most are accurate enough to trust. I have heard of one from California that is 4 pages long. That one I would not trust.

Most come close to the oldest manuscripts and that is what is important. Depending on the time and location when the translation was done makes the difference in what words are used. A comparison of several builds a basis for understanding what the original writers meant.

KJV, due to this is the oldest of translations of God's word. I have tried to read from other versions; but seem to fall back on KJV Bible. When I pray before actually reading for God to open up the verses to me and let me know what he is saying, then I understand it better. I also study and meditate upon what God is saying from his word. I really feel if we would rely on the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and lead us then we would know what is the best for us. In God's word he tells us to test the spirits to make sure it is of him so we want get deceived.

K.J.V. is the only one that can be traced back to the true words with a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. for words change
and to have the original Hebrew, Greek or Chaldea meaning is what keeps the Bible from being confusing.
for gay,cool,sign ,etc are not the same words they were thirty years ago.
