#1. Because it would be a "sellout" of the Iraqi Kurds in the North- who have been our ONLY Iraqi allies for the past 5 years (& the Turks would EXTERMINATE the Kurds- who've they've been fighting for decades.).#2. It would make Turkey the DOMINANT Middle Eastern country in the AREA (which NONE of the surrounding countries would support). #3. It would destablize the turkish economy- because the Iraqi economy is in a shambles- & the Turks would have to find some way to PAY for all the damage the War has done in Iraq. & #4. -Why on EARTH would Turkey want to take over a country that's Full of terrorists; in the middle of a Civil War, & surrounded by unfriendly neighbors??! You think they"re "stupid"- like us??? :)

Try again. What gives us the right to turn Iraq over to another country? Why would Iraqis who are Arabs let themselves be ruled by Turks a completely foriegn ethnic group. Why would Turkey want to try to clean up a mess created by the US...thats just for starters

Turkey doesn't want to take over Iraq. They just want to suppress the Kurds in Iraq so the Kurds in Turkey don't start wanting an independent state.

Because Turkey has actually participated more fully in the genocide of the Kurds than Saddam Hussien.
It was the Kurdish Village Brunings that got Saddam executed, at least that's the official version.
