im going to 7th grade next i am going to junior high for the first time what do i do?? do i act cool,perky,how can i keep my grades up? i need help!!!

Be yourself. I know that's something that we hear time and again, but it's the truth. Find things that you like to do and then get involved in that--whether it's sports, band, another club, etc.
When you're going through such a big transition, it's easy to let grades slip away from you. Make sure you stay organized and, if you have any problems at all with a subject, speak to that teacher about tutoring.
In my experience with middle schoolers (junior high for you), organization is the biggest obstacle to success. If your school provides you with a planner, USE IT! If your school doesn't provide one, GET ONE and USE IT!
Keep the lines of communication open with your parents. I know that they are probably getting really irritating and embarassing to you, but there are no other people in the world who love and care about you like your parents do. Listen to them, they've been around and are interested in helping you avoid mistakes. If you make a mistake, own up to it. Take responsibility and ownership of your life and allow your parents in on it.
I've found that most new situations become easy after just a short amount of time. Use all the resources available to you in order to get to know your new school and teachers. Be respectful to yourself and others. And have fun!

OK i just got out of thee 7th grade I'm in eighth now i know how you feel just be yourself don't be someone your not to try to impress somebody and don't let your social life interfere with your grades it happened to me i was all about my friends all year and didn't care about my grades and i got very very bad ones but at the end of the year i concentrated on my work and i made honer role don't worry its nothing to be scared of

just be kind to everyone and smile.
try to walk confidently and meet some new faces.
7th grade was my favorite year because it was sooo much fun.
I got involved in the Drama department and everyone is really nice and friendly there. Its a great way to make new friends!

you are going to have lots of fun just be your self and you will shine im going to be in the 9th grade trust me you will love it
