As a thank you to our parents for all their support in our lives leading up to our wedding, we wrote them each a letter thanking them, and telling them what qualities of theirs we most hope to have in our marriage.

How would I wrap and present these to them at the rehearsal dinner when we hand out the other wedding party gifts? I plan on printing them on nice paper (they were typed on the computer) but I don't know where to go from there.

I don't really like the idea of a picture frame, but I don't want to fold the paper just in case they do want to frame/display it. I think it's too cheesy to do a double frame with the letter on one side and the other side blank for a wedding photo of us. Any other ideas?

[Note: when we graduated from college, we got them big frames with a bunch of openings and did photo collages of us through our lives, so another picture frame less than a year later seems unoriginal.]

I think if your letter is what I think it is, your parents are definetley going to want to keep it out as a momento, so the frame thing isn't the worst idea, but why don't you try to make it really creative... I am not sure how much money you want to spend, but you could get a personlized frame with some of the letter engraved on that and then have it read onto the letter you frame in it....
What about haveing a professional calligrapher write it out on a big pice of canves like a painting, that would be really nice, but of course that will cost, they usually charge by the house, so your looking at about 30 bucks or so... good luck.

You could get cheapie folders - like you'd get for going back to school - perhaps in colors that coordinate with the wedding colors. When you deliver them, say that you have "done your homework" and have carefully "studied" what is needed for a successful marriage...then ask them to read your "reports".

Yep, kinda cheesy, but it's at least a different idea! :)

BTW, what a nice gesture. I know that my marriage wouldn't be what it is without the amazing lessons that my husband and I have learned from our parents. Sounds as if you're off to a good start already! Congratulations!

Choose favors that express your personalities, speak to the wedding's setting or share something you love with your guests. Are you both into wine? Mini wine bottles with personalized labels will go over big. Spend almost every weekend hitting the links? Give out golf balls or tees customized with your wedding locale and the date. Share a piece of your unique heritage by giving out tins of Asian cookies or pastries, or authentic olive oil from the region of Italy where your ancestors were born. Regional specialties like jalapeno jelly from Texas, hot sauce or Cajun rubs from Louisiana or Vermont maple syrup are great for giving guests a taste of local flavors.

You might gently roll the letters into scrolls and tie with a ribbon. Then, there won't be any creases if either set of parents want to frame the letter themselves, and it's in a form that's pretty to present.
