Moises, was that the same, tired answer given in 1974, when my parents decided not to give me braces because the end was near? Oh yes, and dad gave up his military career 5 years away from a lifetime retirement because the end was near. Now poor old dad's working 2 jobs to get by. Wish the end had come, darn it.

what part of " the date 1974/75 was definitely stated by elders running those talks, fyi." is hard to understand? I thought the elders were THE source for information and guidance? If they say it with sanction from the podium, is the audience not to believe whatever they're saying? I can blame them, yes indeed, and so should you.

lillie, i see from your profile you've been a member for only 10 years. you weren't around when they were preaching those dates from the podium. Please try to remember you can't address what you weren't around to witness.

also, lillie (I could go on forever, but I'll spare you), I'm sure you've had the opportunity to get all your prerequisites for a successful life in your youth since you've only been in for 10 years. You weren't raised in this so you cannot know what opportunities were lost from being raised as a jw from birth.

YOU ARE LYING if you father was in 1975 a Jehovah´s witness why he was in the army? Jehovah´s witness don´t enrolled in army and everybody know that, ANOTHER LIE.
What will Jesus do during his 1000 year kingdom? Jehovah ´s witness preach that Jesus after Armageddon and destruction of evildoers, Satan and his demons will be "Jailed" for 1000 years in the mean time Jesus will rule the earth with a group redeemed from earth (Revelation 5:10, 14:1-5) will resurrect people (Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29) will provide food and eliminate famines (Psalm 72:16) will restore the health of humans (Isaiah 35:5-6, 33:24) will eliminate the death and the cause of the death and suffering (Revelation 21:4) in resumen will transform the earth in a great place to live a "new earth" the original purpose of God with Adam and Eve before they sinned (Genesis 1:28) .
After 1000 years , Satan will be release and mankind will have a second test and after that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire (destroyed) and Jesus give the kingdom to his father (Jehovah) (1 Corithians 15:28)
If this is false can you use the bible to prove it?
Lysdexic Princess I had ask you this question more than 6 times and you don´t know the answer? why? then is true and if is true why you are not preaching that message?
Do you have that magazine or publication that said that date as a date of armageddon? or are you just repeating something that you don´t have the proof? and the question I did if is false then PROVE IT.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not suppose that any human could know the date of Armageddon, and never have.
(Matthew 24:36) Concerning that day and hour nobody knows
Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying".
Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated "out among the brothers"!
For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.
(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”
Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term "prophet" only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a "prophet" (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.
What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?
(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.
(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Only the father Jehovah knows. The god people worship, Jesus, does not know.
Mar 13:32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Actually Pedi,
The end was never predicted. People began saying that the end was coming, but the Watchtower Tract and Society, or Watchtower magazines,or Awakes never confirmed that.
Matthew 24:36 Mentions no one knows the day only the Father Jehovah.
No one knows the day but we are certain we ARE living in the last days.
Zepaniah 1:14 The great day of Jehovah is near.

Matt.25:13:"Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour."
I dont recall it ever being said to quit jobs, sell houses etc etc because the end is here!
It is our faith that teaches us to rely on Jehovah God.Light is continously being shown and scriptures are getting clearer and clearer. That is thanks to Jehovah's Holy Spirit. The anointed faithful slave class are still inperfect men who also rely on Jehovah for guidance and understanding.
You cant blame Jehovah or His earthly organisation because your family went beyond what was written.........

Depends on what you are referring to. If its the end of "this system of things" then ha ha,never. If its regarding the destruction of their independent thinking its when they say "sure ill accept a bible study." If you are thinking about when they start trying to force their "doomsday terror talk" and their destruction of families, its immediately after they are baptized.
