From the NWT:

However, he did not let him, but said to him: “Go home to your relatives, and report to them all the things JEHOVAH has done for you and the mercy he had on you.” And he went away and started to proclaim in the De·cap´o·lis all the things JESUS did for him, and all the people began to wonder.

You guys told me that Jehovah is only in places where the OT is being quoted. This is NOT a quote from the OT. Why is Jehovah put in here? It only confirms who Jesus is.....

and before you try to tell me that Jehovah had the mercy thru Jesus... allow me to remind you that Jesus has FULL power on heaven and earth...

What do you think?

ok tanner.Luke 11:14-22 tells the whole story:

Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. But some of them said,By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand?I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebub. Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out?So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God,then the kingdom of God has come to you. When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him,he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils.

Mark 5:19,20 describes the same account as Luke 8:39 (where Jesus instructed "keep on relating what things God did for you"). The formerly demon-possessed man did not exactly follow Christ's command, but instead chose to give the credit to Jesus rather than to God Jehovah.

But perhaps this question's main complaint is with the use of "Jehovah" at Mark 5:19. From time to time, a questioner complains that New World Translation restores the Divine Name about 200 times in the so-called "New Testament" (ironically, these complainers ignore the fact that most bibles actively REMOVE the Divine Name nearly SEVEN THOUSAND times from the so-called "Old Testament").

Bible students who use NWT tend to note that there are at least 27 bibles entirely unaffiliated with NWT which restore the Divine Name in the Christian Scriptures, and that there is exactly one verse in NWT which does not have support from these other 27 bibles. Mark 5:19 is not that lone verse, and in fact at least seven other bibles restore the Divine Name at Mark 5:19.

(Mark 5:19) ...Go home to your relatives, and report to them all the things Jehovah has done...

These supporting translations consistently point to a related OT verse for support:

(Exodus 18:8) ...Moses went to relating to his father-in-law all that Jehovah had done...

First and Last
How many firsts and lasts are there? In the Bible God is called the first and last and so is Jesus. Since God says there is no God apart from Him and Jesus and God are both addressed by the same title, then that poses a problem for the Jehovah's Witness.
Isaiah 44:6, "This is what the LORD says -Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God."
Revelation 1:8, "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
Revelation 1:17-18, "When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
Obviously, Rev. 1:17-18 can only refer to Jesus.
Revelation 22:12-13, "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
Here, both the "Alpha and the Omega" and the "First and the Last" are said to be one and the same.
Also, at this point go to Titus 2:13 where it says that Jesus is the one who is coming soon, therefore, Jesus and Jehovah are the same.

Jesus son of Jehovah (Luke 1:32 and psalm 83:18) receive from his father the power to do the miracle, what would happen if Jehovah wouldn´t gave that to Jesus, he couldn´t heal the man.

Why can´t Christians answer me this.

Can you answer this

What will Jesus do during his 1000 year kingdom? Jehovah ´s witness preach that Jesus after Armageddon and destruction of evildoers, Satan and his demons will be "Jailed" for 1000 years in the mean time Jesus will rule the earth with a group redeemed from earth (Revelation 5:10, 14:1-5) will resurrect people (Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29) will provide food and eliminate famines (Psalm 72:16) will restore the health of humans (Isaiah 35:5-6, 33:24) will eliminate the death and the cause of the death and suffering (Revelation 21:4) in resumen will transform the earth in a great place to live a "new earth" the original purpose of God with Adam and Eve before they sinned (Genesis 1:28) .
After 1000 years , Satan will be release and mankind will have a second test and after that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire (destroyed) and Jesus give the kingdom to his father (Jehovah) (1 Corithians 15:28)

If this is false can you use the bible to prove it?

Lysdexic Princess I had ask you this question more than 5 times and you don´t know the answer? why? then is true and if is true why you are not preaching that message?

the answere is simple, here is the scripture , Jesus healed the person by Jehovah's power, don't you think Jesus knew his father's name? (Mark 5:18-20) . . .Now as he was boarding the boat, the [man] that had been demon-possessed began entreating him that he might continue with him. 19 However, he did not let him, but said to him: “Go home to your relatives, and report to them all the things Jehovah has done for you and the mercy he had on you.” 20 And he went away and started to proclaim in the De‧cap′o‧lis all the things Jesus did for him, and all the people began to wonder.

Christians have a similar concept of the 1000-year reign of Christ that Moise posted above...I just don't see how that ties into the question...?
The NWT puts the word Jehovah in over 200 times in the New Testament when it is not there at all in any of the original manuscripts. That is considered unscholarly and presumptuous by all the top Bible translators.

Edit to achtung...you are quoting from articles on the WT website. Do some independent research.

Jesus left no doubt as to the power by which he expelled demons. The Gospel writer Luke tells us that Jesus expelled demons by “God’s finger.” But what is the symbolic meaning of this? Matthew’s Gospel account makes this clear in indicating that Jesus expelled demons by ‘God’s holy spirit,’ or Jehovah’s active force. (Luke 11:20; Matt. 12:28) Jesus himself confessed that it was by God’s power that he was able to expel demons.—Mark 5:18-20.

Thanks for answering your own question.

Jesus was able to do powerful works because of the finger of God. the parallel account shows it is by God's spirit.

The only power Jesus has, has been given him by his Father.

John 17:6 Jesus made his Father's name known.

Since it was the Lord Jehovah who provided the blessings, Jesus would highlight his father's name.

Concerning the use of the Tetragrammaton in the Christian Greek Scriptures,

George Howard of the University of Georgia wrote in Journal of Biblical Literature, Vol. 96, 1977, p. 63: “Recent discoveries in Egypt and the Judean Desert allow us to see first hand the use of God’s name in pre-Christian times. These discoveries are significant for N[ew] T[estament] studies in that they form a literary analogy with the earliest Christian documents and may explain how NT authors used the divine name. In the following pages we will set forth a theory that the divine name, הוהי (and possibly abbreviations of it), was originally written in the NT quotations of and allusions to the O[ld] T[estament] and that in the course of time it was replaced mainly with the surrogate ? [abbreviation for Ky′ri·os, “Lord”]. This removal of the Tetragram[maton], in our view, created a confusion in the minds of early Gentile Christians about the relationship between the ‘Lord God’ and the ‘Lord Christ’ which is reflected in the MS tradition of the NT text itself.”

To avoid overstepping the bounds of a translator into the field of exegesis, we have been most cautious about rendering the divine name in the Christian Greek Scriptures, always carefully considering the Hebrew Scriptures as a background. We have looked for agreement from the Hebrew versions to confirm our rendering. Thus, out of the 237 times that we have rendered the divine name in the body of our translation, there is only one instance where we have no agreement from the Hebrew versions. But in this one instance, namely, 1Co 7:17, the context and related texts strongly support rendering the divine name.—See 1Co 7:17 ftn, “Jehovah.”

Appendix from the NWT.

The NWT was not the first bible or only bible that places Jehovah's name at Mark 5:19-20.

What do I think, I think you have been blinded by Satan.
2 Cor 4:4.

Unsettling History of That Joyous ‘Hallelujah’
New York Times, NY -
... the public use of the sacred, unutterable name of God in the oratorios, even though “Jehovah” was a Christian misunderstanding of the prohibited name. ...
------
Jehovah is NOT God's name!

Strongs Concordance tells us this name (Jehovah) is made up. The Catholic Encyclopedia and Judiaism 101 (on line) both agree that a German copiest was putting YHWH in his mms and then Adonai underneath the letters.

He asked the Pope if he could place the vowels within the consonants to make a name. The Pope said fine! Thus the invention of His new name. His self given name is found at Exodus 3:14, and is not Jehovah!(see the Hebrew translation).

Jehovah's Witnesses is the name of an adventist Millerite spin off sect.
Their false core dogma is that Jesus had his second coming already in 1914 and is working 'invisibly' through their Watchtower organization.

It's the Catholic Pope who 'invented' the Jehovah name and the Watchtower should give him credit for it.

Hi Anna. Thank you for your question. I don't mean to hijack your discussion but I would like to answer Moises3702's question.

The first rule of Bible study is we must compare the entire Bible to understand the Spiritual Truth that God is teaching us. In Revelation 20:1-3 God gives us a picture of the binding of Satan, it does not say 'jailed':

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

Again in Matthew 12:29 when the Pharisees were accusing Christ of being sent by Satan, God tells us that Satan must be bound not 'jailed'.

"But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house."

When God tells us that Satan will be bound He is teaching us that Satan will have no power over those who are truly saved, those who are truly Born Again. Although we are still sinners, Christ paid for the sins of those who would believe on HIm, on the Cross and they will not face the fate of the unsaved.

The number 1000 has a spiritual meaning and the meaning is “complete” or “completeness.” Satan was bound for the completeness (1,000 years) of God's timetable for his binding, it will be the end of time. It will be Judgment day.

We know that Satan was bound before the New Testament was completed. The key to understanding this is understanding that Satan was bound at the Cross. In Jude 6 God teaches us:

" And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

Now, we must remember that Satan and all of those who followed him were fallen Angels who were cast out of Heaven. Was he only bound for a 1000 years? No. Satan has been at work, gathering the unsaved people of the earth.

Jesus will not rule for a 1000 years on earth after Judgment day. God gives us a picture of what the final days will be like beginning in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:

"For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

When Christ returns on the last day, He brings all of those who have died in the Lord (they who were Saved). These True Believers will be in their Spirit or Soul essence. They will be reunited with their bodies they left here on earth. These bodies will be resurrected into Glorified Spiritual Bodies.

At the same time, those True Believers who are still alive when Christ returns will also receive their new Glorified Bodies. It is these True Believers who will be "caught up" to be with Christ in the air.

As for the unsaved at this time, they will remain and go through the Judgment of God. All found guilty are then cast into Hell.

When this is finished, the true Believers will live with God in the New Heavens and the New Earth that God tells of in Revelation 21:1-3:

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God."
