Is it true that women use both sides of their brain and men only use one side of theirs?

I am just wondering if this is true or not.
I heard that women use both sides of their brain at one time. But men only use 1 side of their brain off and on.
Is this true? The person who told me read it in a magazine.
What do you think?
I mean I know that sometimes women seem like they don't use their brains. But men don't use theirs all the time either!

There have been studies done in decision making and physiology. When men are solving a problem, they use one concentrated area of the brain. when a woman is solving the same problem, different and "scattered" areas of the brain are activated. Neither method is better than the other. And this is just a general genetic rule.

This is untrue. Men and women are physiologically and neurally very similar. Women have a larger corpus callosum, which connects the two halves of the brain (analytical/emotional), but this does not affect behavior a tremendous amount.

no, both use both sides of the brain. Girls have more neurons that allow them to think with both their right side and their left side in more of a harmony. And saying that people don't use their brains is just an expression. Everyone uses their brain whether they like it or not, its just how effectively they use it. Hope that helps

Yes, to some extent. Lefties also tend to use both sides more than righties. One side is more logical than the other. Men are "schooled" to be non-emotional which means one side is not as "trained" as the logical side. It doesn't have to be that way, but generally is. Artists tend to use both sides well.

I don't know, I have read about Paris Hilton in a magazine as well, & I am POSITIVE that she isn't working on EITHER half of her brain. :-)
