Hello, i am a believer and went to church since i was a child. In all this time, some of my questions i havent found the answers to yet. Like where does it say in the bible where god's appearance originated from. there is the holy trinity of god, consisting of god, Jesus and the holy spirit. He created us from his image. But where does his likely appearance originate from in the beginning? Did he originate from the holy spirit, which was there in eternity before him? It must say so somewhere in the bible (old testament). Sorry, i have only almost finished reading the new testament yet and some parts of the old testament. The aim of this question of course, is to better understanding the Lord and finally to better be able to serve him. God bless you.

Yes sorry, i meant he created us after/in his image and not from his image. (Nach seinem Ebenbild) Sorry for my bad english, i am a korean living in Germany. But thanks for the answer, which stated the purpose of living to reunite with the holy spirit. Thanks!

Because the bible says we were created in the image of god, people have tended to personify a wise old man. Others interpret "image" as our invisible spirit/soul meaning god is invisible spirit. Others understand it to mean our status as "creators" of our experience of reality (like god) because the field in which we are embedded is responsive to consciousness through purity of intention, prayer, etc.

The doctrine of the trinity refers to Jesus sayings regarding the holy spirit/comforter etc. but is helpful in understanding the psychological parts of the ultimately unified Self - benevolent father/transcendence of the egoic self (son of god) and reuniting with what you purely/wholy love (holy spirit) which is your purpose.

You are NOT here to "serve/worship" an otherworldly deity/him. You are here to remember your purpose and experience heaven (eternal aliveness) in this lifetime - reunite with that spark of life that you brought with you and give all that you have - gifts, love, etc. - to the world as Jesus did.

I haven't seen anything in the Bible to answer that, other than in Revelation, where Jesus is described. You see descriptions such as the Hebrew children in the furnace, and a forth, like God... . I believe our modern paintings probably come from some that saw Jesus, and described Him.

God is light. His image is that of a torso, 2 arms, legs etc, only b/c thats how we look and we are in his image, not vice versa. The hardest thing to do, for anyone, is look inward, he finally did and now we have a nice mess here on earth, which many of us are looking for him to clean up soon. =)
