You have to want it bad enough. Don't sit at the computer talking about it or wishing it would happen. Get up and go for a walk. I mean a WALK---put your butt into it. And start eating less and healthier at your very next meal. So many people think there has to be some grand, special day to start eating better and exercising like, "Oh, next Wednesday, I am really going on a diet and exercising...." Why wait?
You don't need success stories, you need to DO IT. Hearing other people say they did it is not going to help you lose anything.
Vegetables, lean meat/protein, whole grains (the more fiber, the closer to whole grain) and fruit. No more junk/fast food or soda. Eat 6 small meals a day instead of 3 bigger ones. That way your blood sugar will stay even (and you won't get so hungry that you overeat at mealtime) and you'll have energy throughout the day.
Get out there and at LEAST walk briskly for 1 hour EVERY day. If you can do more, great. But you can at least do that.
You can do it.

as far as losing a few Lbs, no worries, toning up however..... you need to have some free weights or hit the gym, sorry about that part. losing the weight- start by cutting back all of your food portions slightly, don't have seconds, fill your plate from the stove or counter, put your fork and knife down between EVERY bite, chew your food a few more times, and generally eat slower. skip a few desserts, and try going for a few walks, if you want to tone up a bit while you walk, take a can of soup in each hand and go. Most importantly- WATER WATER WATER!, at least 1 glass b4 every meal. good luck!!

First off don't drink beer.
Second drink less and less pop,soda,or whatever your call it
You can drink gatorade but not to much it has alot of sugar.
Eat at least three veggies
Eat at least three fruit
Next stay away from fast food or fat food
Do leg lifts, sit ups, and push ups everyday in the morning
SUGAR TURNS TO FAT SO LESS COOKIES,I KNOW IT KILLS ME TOO!!
Carbs should be cut in half when being consumed
When hungry ate an apple or bannana
If possible just jog every know and then
EVEN WALKING IS GOOD EXERCISE.
IF YOU ARE SERIOUS AND DO THESE THINGS AND DO MORE EXERCISING YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT.

well if u can't go to the gym than exercise at home do push ups and jumping jacks, and everyday add one more of each exercise, and walk every morning...u don't have to jog...jus walk...and have a healthy diet..it also depends on wat u r aiming for and what this event of a lifetime is...and how u should look for it...keep trying and look online for more help

start taking long walks with friends//pets//yourself. cut out all the crap like alcohol if you drink; coffee; sodas; juice. start drinking water and on occassion some tea [preferably green i guess] but it doesnt really matter. do a lot of cardio sign up for a pilates/yoga/dance class. and start doing some weight training

Your main tools are diet and exercise, so a gym is part of a good solution.
