I need to find a toddler float that will actually keep my 2 year old son above the water. He has outgrown the little infant floats that have leg holes, he needs one that goes over the top that will keep him above water. Those life jackets don't really work because if you let go, he falls forward or backwards. I need to be able to let go for a second sometimes, or to just be able to hold on to him without actually holding him.

P.S. I have to order it off the internet, so if you know of a good online store that has stuff like this that would be very helpful also

if you use the arm floaties ($1 at dollar tree) with the floatie suits it will help alot with keeping him up and will keep him from tipping over.
They also have bigger ones with the legs holes. My 4 year old sets in one. they have little characters on them. I got mine at walmart.

I use the arm floats with my daughter. Those are great. They keep her completely above the water without throwing her backwards or forwards like you mentioned. I've tried several and the other full life jackets don't let her actually swim. With the arm floats my daughter is able to move around the water by herself and actually swim around with them. You can get them for like $2 at Walmart. I'll attach a picture of my daughter using them oh and she's also 2.

Use the arm floats. You can get them anywhere for under $5. It took my son a week or two to realize how to keep his mouth closed. Once he got it he got it. Now he jumps in and swims and doesnt even want anyone to hold him. Before we couldnt let him go. Good Luck
