Two weeks ago part of my tooth broke exposing the filling. My dentist removed the filling, then replaced it and repaired the break with a Ceric cap. How long will it hurt to chew on this new cap?

HELLO,
CEREC CROWNS ARE VERY PRECISE AS TO THEIR FIT. IT YOU WERE NUMB WHEN THE DENTIST CHECKED FOR THE HEIGHT OF THE FILLING, IT'S POSSIBLE YOU DIDN'T BITE JUST SO AND THE FILLING WAS LEFT A LITTLE HIGH.
GO BACK AND HAVE THE DENTIST ADJUST IT. THIS TIME DON'T BE NUMB FOR THE ADJUSTMENT.

It should not hurt at all. Perhaps the restoration is high and needs to be adjusted. You should talk to your dentist.
