what will be the labor to replace the car door Hinges?

Its a 1993 nissan sentra. The hinges cost around $35 each and what will be the labor. I took it to the mechanic and he told me it would be an hour worth of labor($70) but after fixing it he charged me for 1.5 hr labor. He said he needed to do some adjustments to the door. Do you think its ethical on his part to charge more once he fixed my car.

Each service dept. has a set ammount of time it takes for fix things and the mechanics get paid off of that... like a typical brake job takes 1hr. so they get paid on that and only that even if it takes them 3hrs. It sounds like you went to a hole in the wall place they might not work that way but if he told you it would only be an hour labor that is what he should charge! it is unethical to charge more even if it took him more time and I would complain because thats an extra $35 out of your pocket.

hi, in the beginning, I even have study the previous solutions. I dont understand why somebody might inform you to take the area off the passenger door to repair the drivers door while the area is far less costly ? Then the passenger is broke !!! the different solutions pronounced you % a jack to help the door ? Why ? The door weighs approximately seventy 5 lbs. i'm going to be truthful, that's an ordinary restore for you, purchase the area and have a chum assist you . it is going to take some million hour and repaired !! No specific kit required, a three/8 socket set is all you %! wish this allows you, good luck, in case you have any added questions , be happy to ask !!!!!

He bit off a little more than he thought. Or your car door was not as straight as he thought going in. I usually call the customer first to tell them of any extra labor charges to prepare them. AT Nissan dealers we stick to the quote and get the labor operation and times out of ALL-DATA or warranty labor manual
