The rules of pig latin are simple:
1) if a word begins in a vowel sound, just add "ay" (spoken, it sounds just like the first letter of the alphabet) to the end of the word.
Examples: am --> am-ay, I --> I-ay, always --> always-ay
2) if a word begins in a consonant sound, move everything up to the first vowel sound to the end of the word and add "ay"..
Examples: school --> ool-schay, shrimp --> imp-shray, computer --> omputer-cay.
As for its uses, they're fairly limited. One could use it to talk to others in "code" provided no one else was around who understood it. A common computer programming exercise also uses pig latin It probably has severe limitations, however, if one is trying to use knowledge of it as a way to impress prospective employers or college admission offices.

I will copy and paste your question in pig latin:
igpa atinla xplanationea?
ouldca omeonesa leasepa xplainea "igpa atinla" ota ema? herewa idda tia omeca romfa ndaa owha sia tia sedua? hanksta.
You skip the first letter and then put it on at the end of the word and add an "A" simple as that.
Baby Firefly = abyba ireflyfa
*Edit* Well, I learned something new today too! I didn't know it was "AY" on the end.

it's easy. you take a word, for example, "yahoo" and you take off the first letter, put it at the end of the word and add "ay" to it.
"ahooyay"
another example: to say "People who speak pig latin have too much time on their hands" it would be
"Eoplepay howay peaksay igpay atinlay avehay ootay uchmay imetay onay eirthay andshay."
Get it now?
