Working in the deli?

Hey,
so I work at a store and I wanted to work in the Deli, however the only place they could hire me was cash. So I took it, I wanted the job and the money. Now there is an opening in the Deli, so I want to ask to get transfered into the Deli, but I was just wondering, what kind of stuff do you need to do, apart from the obvious like cutting meats.

You have to make salads, wait on customers, cook chicken, and all the other items. You would probably make more as a cashier.
