Most of the slideshows that you see in presitations ect are created in Microsoft Powerpoint. It is part of MS Office, i think open office has a free version that you can try.

In todays time Microsoft Powerpoint is the standard for corporate presentation. This program is very powerful yet simple to use. This program is not cheap so be willing to fork out a quite bit of cash but it is well worth it.
