I periodically google my children and their spouses. I find out lots of stuff about them that I don't know that way. They say it's an invasion of privacy. How do you all feel?

Some of the things I find out is like my son-in-law secretly fought for the UFC when me and his mother was specifically against it. He said he wouldn't, but did. What I find out is things they do that I don't approve of, so they keep it secret. I'm on to them and always catch them!

it's perfectly ok, just don't get them mixed up with other people with the same name.
if your children are famous, maybe you will read things that may not be true so be careful

Sorry to say it but if they're stupid enough to put it on the internet when they'd like to keep it private, then...tough noogies. They need to either learn to keep secrets off the internet or deal with the consequences that the internet is public.
I Google people all the time. I do research for a headhunting firm & that's how I find lots of our candidates.

If it were private, it wouldn't be fodder for the search engines. So no, it's not an invasion of privacy. It's generally public record material (which you can opt out of if you are so inclined).
Google yourself and see what you find.

No, if it's public information it isn't an invasion of privacy. Reading diaries or eavesdropping is an invasion of privacy. I don't google people but maybe I should - it could get interesting!

Nope. Googling someone is standard operating procedure. If it's available in the internet, it's public information.

No, nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you might find out something about you that you didn't know. LOL.
Keep on googling!
