Online Predators.............?

Question

My question, which I haven't seen posted quite yet is this -

These guys, the ones they catch on "To Catch a Predator", are constantly saying that they've never done anything like this before.....Now, I'm thinking that most of them HAD to have done it before, and got away with it, and simply do not want to admit it.

On to the question - What in the heck do these little girls see in these old, hairy, nasty, dirty dudes to have them come over in the first place? Now, some of these guys are decent looking men - but STILL, they're OLDER than dirt! Why do they do it??

I think the problem is with these older men, not the girls. You seem to be missing the fact that these young girls obivously have no structure in their young lives and are seeking affection from an older man. The thought of having someone be there for you when you are young and impressionable is overwhelming and they can get caught up. It is important to think of these men as sick people with a serious problem. These girls are looking for something they are not getting and the only way they have been programmed to think is through sex. Not only that, all people on the internet that are in these rooms are not honest about their age, their looks, or any other personal information. Why would they when you could portray anybody you want. Think about it like this: If you were an old dirty man or a curious young girl, who has the better chance of changing?

I agree with you. You never see these losers balling their eyes out in remorse for what they did. They always deny it and act like everyone else is crazy.

Give me 5 minutes in a room alone with any of them and you'd see a BIG drop in them recommitting that crime! I'd have to tear their head off with my bare hands or something.

Anyway......the rest of your question....the kids don't know what's what I don't think. I think they are just so innocent that they see, or hear a nice man and are flattered that an adult pays so much attention to them. Either that or when they talk online they don't have any idea who they are really talking to. So these guys play it up and work it just so, and maybe they threaten them.....I don't know, but it's horrible and I think we should take these people and wrap them up like they do in Egypt and bury them in the ground up to the shoulders and have an arena of people that will stone them to death.

Extreme....yes...brutal....YES, but I have been slowly changing my opinion about this kind of thing as I pay more attention to it over the years. That other countries inflict sever and swift retribution for crimes. They rarely, if ever get the wrong person, and the crimes are very infrequent.....geeeze I wonder why. If you saw someone being stoned to death you'd NEVER do anything that would even be remotely considered off-color!

Here, we spend thousands and thousands and give these 'people' more rights and consideration than the victims in most cases. Things drag out for years and years, and by the time they get around to doing anything you forget who they are in the first place. It's ridiculous and a waste any way you look at it.

Harsh response yes, but when I think of someone hurting a kid it tears me up.

Alot of the girls in the chat rooms falling for these predators are looking for some fun chat or attention. They get to hear only what the guy online is telling them, they pretend to be young boys even using pictures of the boys to say it is them. Girls around the ages they show on tv are in a hormone jungle and want boys attention and don't realize it isn't a younger boy they are talking to. I think those men are sick and need to be stopped. Thats where all these young boys and girls using the internet need to watch those shows see what is really on the other end. Child molesters and predators live for the internet makes their crimes easier now. Teach your children to let an adult know if they get sexual material offered to them in chat rooms or if someone online wantst o meet them. Alot of these men are closet predators i seem to think, most have great families and they never knew about their crimes.
The one that appalled me the most was the guy who took his 6 year old son with him to meet the little girl. That guy needs to be in jail or worse.

I think the girls in the case are equally to blame. Now, I'm not saying the guys are right or anything, that's for sure. As to why they do it? It's because I think in most situations it's not like a 40 year old guy and 13 year old girl. I think it's usually like a 25 year old guy with a 15 year old girl. So they would find the guy attractive. These guys should know know better.

Bad parenting is the reason. Where is mom and dad while this sicko comes over. That's what's wrong. The predators should have the nuts stapled to there buttholes. While there weiner is shoved up there also.

Those old nasty guys usually LIE about who they are. They send fake photos, tell false information, lie about how old they are. These girls don't usually know who they're talking to until it's too late.

They probably wnt attention, or they jus wnt to meet some1. It is very unsafe, nd we shuld try to help prevent it. That was a great qusetion, and u hav a great point. Those gurl that get caught up in that crap is there own crap, and i know u r worried, but u shuldnt get caught up in it. Hope i helped.

because they meet them online and don't know what they look like. some say they are 20 when actually they are 70. it really is a shame that this is happening all the time.
