Cat Stevens proformed at the Al Gores "Save the World from itself" tour. Cat Stevens is a radical Islamic follower (practices Wahobism) and has called for the death of Rushdie, and the death of the Swedish cartoonist who partrayed Muhamed in a unflattering way.

How does supporting / promoting Islamic relgion and culture (probably the Most oppresive religion in the world, especially for women) mesh / blend with "liberals do what you want" and "You can't judge me" lifestyles?

The party that does that has a habit of promising and protecting everyone from everything.

Their (ardent) supporters argue the entire platform out of blind loyalty to it, failing to realize that even if their *own* hot button issue is represented, their others may be in conflict with the platform.

It can happen on the other side of the aisle as well but they don't try to represent the interests of quite so many groups and hence have fewer conflicting issues.

It does amaze me though that that party argues both for the women's rights and for appeasement to radical islamic regimes. Think part of it might just be that it was their opposing party that has done the most for women's rights against radical islam. Wonder how Nancy or Hillary would feel about those things if they were forced to wear a burkha in Tehran or Riyadh?

There are idiots on both sides, unfortunately they get the most attention. They seem to be the most high profile with the DNC for some reason lately too, I guess because on both sides anyone in the middle is seen as a traitor. Unfortunately when you get far to either side oppression comes in, and things blend. (Hence Socialism to its extremes yields facism)

BTW, Im a liberal---I f-ing love Nuggent; Id give anything to go hunting with Ted; Anyone who calls for the death of anyone for writing a book doesnt represent me, or my ideals. Identifying yourself as liberal doesnt make you liberal anymore than saying youre conservative makes you conservative (neocons are proof of that).

This is a case of personal ideology replacing patriotism.

Not that it was traitorous or anything, but it is a case of being so caught up in your political goals that you forget about the interests and goals of your own country.

Why don't you ask him. Liberals are all different and think for themselves. If you want to lump everyone into a blob, you have your own issues.

Typical liberal hypocrisy.

Let's elect hillary and let another clinton make a joke out of the whitehouse.
