you may have a cable / HDMI conflict.
If you have both HDMI and component cables connected to a cable box selecting one input will give pix and no sound, the other will give sound and no pix.

disconnect one from both ends and select the proper setup on the cable box and tv. The cable box must have HDMI selected if that is what you are using and the option doesn't appear unless the HDMI cable is plugged into the box.

I think it is a copy protection FEATURE. YAH!

For the classic video connection check to make sure the Yellow RCA plug is connected between the source of the video and the Plasma TV. For the HDMI connection check the HDMI cable between these devices. For Component video connection check the "paired" Red, Blue and Green cables between these devices. Seems like your audio cables are connected (usually the red and black or white and black pair).

If however this TV simply connected to Antenna, Cable or Satellite Box then you might have real problems with the TV.

Good luck. It helps if you look at the manual and check your connections to the drawings.
