My cat got spayed two weeks ago and she is acting a lot different. She meows constantly and it's louder and sounds different. She is also suddenly very clingy to our other cat which is her sister. Is something wrong?

She won't have a parenting instinct at the moment, she's had that instinct removed.

Most likely she is still a little shell-shocked from the experience. I don't think this is anything to worry about, but she's your pet and you know her best, so if you are worried take her back to the vet for a check. They should always be checked post-spay anyway, even if dissolvable sutures were used.

If she's going back for stitches out, or she's already been, that would also be the time to ask any questions like this. You can always just pick up the phone to the vet and have a chat with them.

Is her sister spayed too?

Unless she shows signs of illness, just give her the usual love and petting, but as for the vocalizing, just ignore it.

Not at all.
Behavior always changes after being spayed, because it messes with their horomones.

She may have a parenting instinct at the moment, or she is just very clingy.

Hope i helped!
