Who knows, there is no absolute truth, we could in theory be wrong about everything, what if 2 + 2 really equals 5.
Truth is what you accept as truth and your truth may be different from what someone else believes to be true. This is how wars get started, who is right and who is wrong. Well we are all right and at the same time we are all wrong. Just give it up and believe what you want and what is right for you.

Jesus called Himself that: " I am the way, the Truth, and the Life"
and then there is this:
John 3
19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
If the planets were all understood, and the cures for cancer revealed, we would still die. If all the world lived in peace, and we found a way to live healthy for 500 years, we would still die.
So what could be more important to anyone than eternal life without death? Tell me so that I can know as well!

The truth is that nothing is true. All things are variable. For instance: if you see the colour green, your mind interprets it as green, which is programmed by what you have been taught. If you had been taught differently, your mind would not interpret green.
Therefore, perhaps it is possible that your eyes interpret a very different colour than your mind. Maybe you really see blue, but know it as green.
You could never question another person on this, they would think you were insane. The truth is whatever you make it to be.

Truth is the definitive description to the elevated understanding of the absolute and substantive creative formation of how the knowledge becomes subject to that of discernment between what is 'good' and 'bad'. Truth is neither subject to the concepts of 'being' good or bad, but is instead subject to the 'actuality' of the related events and the attributions associated to these concepts. Thus, truth is established as the criterion for which an absolute definition can be applied within the pedigree towards and within the respect for the conditions associated to human freewill, hence the need for spiritual discernment. Likewise, truth is related to integrity in that one seeks to maintain his moral fibre so that he may be able to see the good in others while observing discernment at all times, whilst possibly even functioning within a turbulent environment, despite the challenges ahead.
As an element, truth is thus recognised as what is correct and definitive - being reflective of the origin of purpose being discussed. Whereas, a hypothesis in science is a 'statement to be tested' which my well prove to be false. However, for some, an expression of falsity is reflective of their 'truth' because of the values (ie norms and ideals) that they adhere to. Which, thus, arouses the concern as to the interpretation of truth being subject to perception, because perceptions are not indicative of the truth. Hence, in the Bible, you are reminded that people do lie (1John 1:6) in this imperfect world that you live within which is why you are asked to,"to stand firm then with the belt of truth around your waist" with the Armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-19).
Further more, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John1: 8). "But surely you desire the truth in the inner parts" (Ps 51:6) "He testifies to what has been seen and heard, but not one man accepts his testimony. The man who accepted it has certified that God is truthful" (John 3:33).
In the end, we have to conclude that no persons definition of truth will be the same, but truth will be understood within the Word of God. Since Jesus did say, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).

Truth is not relative and it is not what you want it to be.
We might misunderstand something and believe it to be true, somebody could lie to us and we take it as truth, but underlying all that is a truth. Even if we cannot identify it.
This is not a sophisticated concept. You can experience it simply by believing or wanting your bank balance to be 1,000,000 in credit, but try telling your bank that. I know people are wandering off into the mysteries of life and the universe when they make these metaphysical observations about truth, but fundamentally truth is observable, measurable reality.
Religious "truth" is belief, nothing more. Philosophical truth might be nothing more than fantasy.

To those that believe yes CHRIST is the truth, and to those of science, theory or accumulated artifacts are the truth.and others claim whatever you believe is the truth. I believe CHRIST is truth, but he did not answer all the questions and no one else will till the right time. There is but one truth no matter what you believe right now, you just don't know the proper way to put it all together. If it is true in one it is true in all. To disclaim others beliefs completely on someones opinions in religion or science is to fear the truth. All will be reveled in the end, until then try to see how they all fit together, for if they don't it cannot be true.

John 17:17
Sanctify them in the TRUTH, Your Word is truth
Jesus said..
I am the way the TRUTH and the Life.. no man comes to the Father except through ME.
Jesus is the Living Word and He is the Truth... everything outside of Him is darkness and lies. He is the One reality in this universe...may we take Him as our truthfulness and our very Life.

Thank you for spelling truth with a lowercase t. "Truth" is a fighting term for religious people. Most people declaring "truths" are in fact just saying that they do not wish any sort of discussion or questioning. Actually they are saying "shut up!".
Science, for example, has another approach at truth. Science develops models of reality, in full knowledge that these models are working hypotheses which might work for quite a while but eventually will be replaced with something better.

Truth is nothing but the Truth.
It was the Truth,
It is the Truth, and
It will be the Truth.
Seek into thy inner self and the Truth will shine within...Then you won't need any definition. It cannot be defined till then.
