It means they aren't real...or made with the materials they are supposed to be made of.

How much did you pay? If you bought them from Walmart for $10, then that should be expected...but if you paid $100 then they should be more real than fake.

It probably isn't real gold. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do about it, except keep the ring and your fingers clean and dry. Dirt and moisture will interact with the metal to leave that green residue.

The rings have a lot of copper in them real gold & silver won't turn green.Hope this isn't a omen for you.Have it tested with your bf. Then maybe the truth will come out.

Yes hers is fake. Only if the metal (silver or gold) is fake will that happen. Unless you went in a pool or hot-tub--that can often tarnish the silver. In that case, a little of jewelry polish will do the trick.

yes, that means it is not real-the simple test you can do is put the ring in a cup of water and watch over a day or two and you will see it tarnish, also when it turns your finger green it means it is not real silver, gold etc...
Sorry

At your age ALL promise rings are fake, it's just that yours doesn't have as much copper in it

that means that she is low on iron in her system. I had that happen to me with my wedding band that i have worn for 14 years. so its no big deal but eat some different things that have iron in it and that will boost her system right up..

good luck!!!!!!!!!!
