Jesus did die once for ALL...but you have to ACCEPT that free gift. God gives us the free-will & the ability to choose. God does NOT force anyone to accept His offer....but He does give us ALL the resources to discover His Truth!..which is why we are ALL held accountable for our OWN CHOICES!
Judas chose NOT to follow Christ...but wanted to "push" Christ to be an earthly King...as greed was Judas's main motivator. Once Judas found the "truth" he could no longer bear his guilt for what he had done, & yet his pride would not allow him to repent.
Pilate also knew that He had condemned an innocent man, yet because of his fear of the greater (earthly power) of the Roman Emperor, he could not stop the proceedings.
History shows that he later commited suiside as well...overcome with grief, doubt & unable to forgive himself (again.. pridefulness) he was unable to repent & accept Christ's gift.
We cannot stand in the judgement seat of Christ to know to what degree either man will be "condemned"
But we DO have the ability to make sure that we ourselves have the assurance of being "pardoned" IF we make the right choices...NOW.

I don't know where you get that exactly. Personally, I believe that Judas was forgiven. I think that he showed a form of repentance when he went to the pharasee and gave the silver back to them. And yes I know he comitted suicide but I just can't believe that that is an unforgivable sin. I can't really say anything about Pilate, because I don't know if he recognised Jesus as the Messiah. If he did, then I suppose he was saved too?

Judas and Pilate died without asking for forgiveness. If you accept Jesus as your Savior, and confess to Him all your sins, you will not be condemned or die eternally. But Judas fled, felt sorry for himself and what he did and realized that what Jesus said was true, "He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me-" Mathew 26:23. So off went Judas, and betrayed Jesus taking the 30 pieces of silver. He felt so guilty and so low, that he hung himself and did not ask for forgiveness of this big sin. Pilate, was under pressure by the pharasees and scribes. They lied and told Pilate that Jesus was avoiding tribute to Caesar Luke 23:1-3. These pharisees were doing all possible for Pilot to do away with Jesus because they did not want the people to follow Him but to obey their "laws and ideas". So Pilate gave into them and set Barrabaas free. Pilate did not ask for forgiveness either. So since none of them accepted Jesus as their Savior neither asked for forgiveness, then they shall parish. When one does wrong and accepts it and ask God for forgiveness and accepts Jesus in their heart and as their personal Savior, you shall be free and have eternal life with Him in Heaven.

It would seem that Pilate was condemned (if he was) because he was a non believer.

Remember, he found no laws broken as far as Roman Law was concerned. He did not believe in the Jewish God and therefore there was no roman law against calling yourself the son of God.

Now Judas Ishcariot was another matter. He believed in God and Jesus Christ as much as the devil does. However, just as the devil, Judas followed his own heart and self will, not that of his redeemer.

Most of us fall closer to Judas than we would care to admit.

Judas betrayed Jesus and Pilate condemned an innocent man!

If Judas is condemned it would only be because he didnt ask forgiveness. I don't think Pilate is condemned because he proclaimed that Jesus did nothing wrong. He might be but that would only have to do with his heart, not his part in the crucifixion.

Pilate was condemned 'cause he knew that Jesus was inocent but he didn't want the people to hate him so he told them to do whatever they wanted to do to him. And Judas was condemned 'cause he killed himself, he didn't believe that Jesus would forgive him. Jesus will forgive anybody, as long as they are truly sorry for their sins. And the main reason why Judas was condemned is because he killed himself, no matter how good you are, if you kill yourself you go to hell.

Pilate's role in the crucifixion is played down as time progressed. Simply compare Pilate's actions when taking the gospels in the order they were written, Mark, Matthew/Luke, and John.

Then look at the non canonical gospel of Peter to see that early christians placed less and less of the blame on the Romans and more and more on the Jews.

In fact in the early Ethiopian church, Pilate was canonized as a saint...

I don't see any reason for people condemning Judas and Pilate.

Pilate was merciful and the only reason he had Jesus crucified is because if he didn't, it could have resulted in a riot and his life would have been on the line.

Judas loved Jesus as much as the other apostles, and betrayed him not willingly, but under the influence of Satan. Satan was allowed to influence Judas so prophecy could be fulfilled.

Actually, whilst you learn the account of Pilate's movements, you notice that he did practically the whole lot he might to get Jesus out of it. Even whipped him well and paraded him round, by and large hoping the gang might take the humiliation and no longer require his loss of life. But whats up, what are you going to do whilst an whole crowd of Jews is on your face, dispatch the look after and kill 10 Jews to save lots of one? In the reciently learned Gospel of Judas, there's a declare in there that, in a individual dialog, among God the Father, Jesus and Judas, that God the Father requested Judas to be the betrayer of his son. But one of the vital exciting elements of the New Testiment is that despite the fact that their Master informed them on many occations to forgive, even till 7 instances 70, all the apostles condemned Judas of their writings. I suppose it might had been a magnanomous, even a righteous, gesture on their side to someplace say "We acquired in combination and in admire for our Masters wants, we forgave him for this evil deed."
