Since your computer's power supply unit is probably between 300w - 400w and your monitor will draw about 100w, your computer will use about 8 times more electricity than a 60w light-bulb.

You never mentioned whether your computer has an LCD screen or CRT screen. That makes a lot of difference to the power consumption.
Also what is the computer doing? If on standby then there will be very little power consumption. Also, laptops use much less power in general.

depends what time of day cheaper at night
don,t need a light on when pc is on moniter is enough.
as answered above depends what you have running on pc but the cpu is powered by at least 300w
pc is the dearest but you can make money from using pc for 1 hour were as the bulb is just burning electricity away.

yes it makes a difference but STILL the same result, the pc will use MUCH MUCH more than the 60w bulb.
