If you consider the new 700 mile fence and the new states anti illegal alien laws coming down, what would you think is a realistic number.
Our states are drowning in red ink , so will it be a year or as long as 5 years?

Forever. Or never. Take your pick.

The fence is useless. The border is 1,950 miles long....and won't stop anyone anyway. They will just get a higher ladder, tunnel under it or blow it up.

The states new laws will, no doubt, be overturned. Only the Federal government can make and enforce immigration law.

You can't deport them. It is impossible to find, roundup and deport 12 million people...and even if it was possible, the cost would be astronomical.

It will be and always has been - amnesty.

Shouldn't take long at all. The key is to remove all of the magnets that draw/keep them here. Birthright citizenship to the offspring of illegals is unconstitutional. It is not guaranteed by the 14th amendment. Never has been. Granting birthright citizenship was dreamed up by the liberal elites to open up a host of welfare benefits to the "citizen" and extended family.
Remove the welfare benefits, the free medical, free schooling, free school breakfast and lunch and most will simply self deport.

I think that if the Gov't would pass a law to fine businesses as much as $500,000 per illegal working there then it would be less than a year to deport them. They would leave on their own because there would be no jobs for them. It is ridiculous the amount of crimes the illegals are getting away with (ie. fake id's, fake ss#'s, and just plain out fraud.) Not to mention the felony of just being here without going through the proper channels.

We will never deport all illegal aliens. If they want to stay they will stay.

What we can do is make life so unbearable for them that the majority leave or are deported. Start fining and jailing their employers. The local cops should turn over illegals that the pull over to the ICE. Hospitals that provide services to illegals should be required to report them to ICE when they have stabilized them or risk losing Federal funds. Consider a national ID card. etc.

If we can get the number of illegals in this country under one million, I will be a happy man.

I don't want them deported. I want them forced out by denying them jobs, schools, hospitals and banks. Make it a felony to hire or service illegals and then start enforcing that law vigorously. Prison term on first offence. Within three months there wouldn't be a job or service anywhere in the US for illegals. I suggest charging illegals $1000 each to leave the country.

Never. Our government is too interested in fighting with each other rather than solve the real problems our country faces. Our system is broken. I don't have a problem with immigrants, just sign the darn guest book for heaven's sake!!!

It will not happen. I know you want it too; so do I, but its not going to happen.

a) Big business is going to stomp on the politicians that try to make it happen because the cheap labor in their bread and butter.

b) Liberal politicians will lable us racists for wanting it too happe and plod out poor Juan and Marcia as victims of our "hatred."

We don't have the political will to get this done. The silent majority remains silent and won't outspend the special interests to they lose. Sorry.

Not long at all if we would enforce our labor laws. Self deportation is the way to go.
